Basic Home Sequence:  this is a link to a one hour sequence that is good for all levels.  We start with OMs, go through the Level 1, Sequence 1 poses (PDF link below) and end with a short Savasana:  Basic Standing Poses Sequence

BEST BEGINNER BOOK:  Yoga: The Iyengar Way by Silva, Mira & Shyam Mehta.    This informative book has large color pictures of each of the poses along with easy to follow instructions.  Alternatives are also given for many poses to learn them in stages.  (Link to this book on Amazon:  HERE)

BEST ADVANCED BOOK:  Light on Yoga by B.K.S. Iyengar   This is THE definitive book on Iyengar yoga written by the master himself.  There are black and white pictures of each pose, along with Mr. Iyengar’s own comments on each.  The introduction gives a solid foundation for beginning to delve deeper into the philosophy and science of Iyengar yoga.  (Link to this book on Amazon:  HERE)
